A Plane Crash-Lands in Decatur, USA
A pilot crash-landed in a cornfield near the Decatur Airport at about 5:45p.m. on Wednesday. Workers in the control tower saw the crash-landing and immediately called emergency officials. No injuries have been reported. The pilot was the only person on the plane and he refused medical treatment. I’m told it was a small plane, but the exact type of aircraft has not been confirmed. The director of the airport said the pilot was attempting to land when something went wrong. The pilot was not employed by the Decatur Airport. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the cause of the crash.
