Landslide kills 2 in Jigawa, Nigeria

Landslide Danger Alert

A 17-year-old boy, Sani Danladi, and his brother, Sabo Bala, 15-year-old have died in a landslide in Zaidawa Village in Garki Local Government Area, Jigawa State.
 
The state Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Muhammad Gidado, confirmed the incident, while fielding questions from newsmen in Dutse the state capital.
 
He explained that the two boys met their death while digging sand in the area.
 
According to him, the civil defence rescue team in the command with the support of some villagers dug out the bodies and handed them over to medical personnel, who confirmed their death, before his men took the corpses to their families for burial.
 
He advised people in the state to avoid putting themselves or their families in a similar risk.

Residents in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire say they’ve experienced a ‘mini tornado’ this evening, after a violent hail storm reportedly hit the county.

One resident filmed this video as emergency crews attended.
Crews from Mid and West Fire Service were also busy tonight in Haverfordwest, after reports of roof tiles being blown off buildings.
