Plane crashes during an air show in northern Tennessee, USA
A plane crashed Saturday afternoon during an air show in northern Tennessee, CBS affiliate WVLT reports.
Witnesses told the station the crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. during the Wings Over Big South Fork Air Show at the Scott Municipal Airport in Oneida.
According to WVLT, the plane was an L-39 Albatross, a fixed wing, single-engine aircraft. The condition of the pilot, believed to be the only person on board, was not immediately known.
The plane went down in a heavily wooded area that was difficult for emergency crews to access, authorities told CBS News.
