Thousands of people still without power after huge winds in southern Ontario, Canada
Massive winds have left 54,500 people without power in southern Ontario, Hydro One said Friday afternoon, after a total of 90,000 were without power earlier in the day.
The winds in south western and central have affected the utility’s distribution system. As the storm moves east, more customers will be affected.
Crews are out assessing damage and starting repairs, in cases where it is safe to do so, Hydro One said.
