Bird Alert

Over 100 dead birds have been found scattered on the Danish island of Læsø in Kattegatt, writes TV2 Nord .

But what has happened on the island is still a mystery.

We found the birds some time ago and had no explanation for it, and we still haven’t. They have been investigated for bird flu, but it was not , says Mogens Sonne Hansen , from the Danish Nature Agency, to Ekstra Bladet.

We have no idea exactly how many there are, but it is mainly seabirds and ducks that have been found .

Normally, more investigations had been done in the laboratory, but due to the outbreak of the coronavirus it has not been feasible.

Ekstra Bladet, who has also been in contact with other experts, writes that the dead birds continue to be “a mystery”.
